After a long wait the above ground construction of the APM Restoration Center is finally underway.
The crew from Greiner Construction was on site first thing Friday and by the end of the day the structure was ready for the installation of the roof trusses.
On Monday the roof trusses will be installed along with the rest of the framing. Tuesday will see the installation of the 40' x 12' Schweiss electric bi-fold door followed by the "skinning" of the structure later in the week.
The building shell is scheduled for completion by the 19th of August, which is just in time for us to use the structure during the AAA/APM Invitational Fly-in as the "Runway Cinema", for the "Gone Home" awards meeting on Sunday and a special reception Thursday evening August 30th (more details on that event to follow).
There is still time to get a square foot (or more) via our "Buy-a-Foot" campaign and help us complete the APM Restoration Center, but only a little over two hundred square feet remain available.
