Last year we put out a call for videos from the photographers and all of you who come out to Antique Airfield for the fly-in. We want to renew that call for the 2012 fly-in:

Since 2007 I have put together several slideshows about the AAA/APM Fly-ins and have shared them with our website, YouTube and Facebook fans. My purpose has been to not only convey the sights of our fly-ins and other activities here at Antique Airfield, but also the feeling that goes along with those varied sights through the use of music.

I have enjoyed producing these slideshows and am grateful to all the photographers that have through the years contributed thousands of images from which to pick and choose the handful that end up in a particular "Brent Taylor Production". I hope they will continue to provide photos well into the future and I’m hopeful that more of our amateur and professional photographers will join their ranks in letting me use their images in future slideshow productions.

I’m also thankful, and surprised, that my attempts at producing these slideshows have been so well received. To have people request copies of or request more similar productions is a bit of a heady experience.

But it’s time to advance beyond the basic slideshow content. It’s time to add more video to future "Brent Taylor Productions" and for that I need your help. So if you attend the 2011 AAA/APM Invitational fly-in and armed with your video camera catch some great footage of airplanes, people or activities I would encourage you to share that footage for possible inclusion in an upcoming Antique Airfield video!

Though several videographers were granted special access to areas on Antique Airfield off limits to all but fly-in officials, as of this writing I have sadly yet to receive any video footage of the 2011 AAA/APM Fly-in from anyone.

Over twenty photographers, both amateur and professional, have graciously shared their still pictures of the 2011 AAA/APM Fly-in with us. For those folks we will once again do what we can to help you safely capture the airplanes, people, activities and spirit of the 2012 AAA/APM Invitational Fly-in with your cameras. It is your work that helps enthuse and inspire those who view the Antique Airfield website, read the Antique Airfield Runway and watch the Brent Taylor Productions slide shows. For that we "Thank You" !!

If you were a photographer who promised photos from 2011 we'd still welcome your contributions.

For those wanting to join the ranks of our official photographers please contact me here at AAA Headquarters; AntiqueAirfield@sirisonline.com to discuss your possible involvement in this year's event.

To everybody, whether you're an official photographer or not, get out your video cameras or even your cellphone cameras and shoot some video of your favorite parts of the fly-in. Getting great footage at the fly-in will make for plenty of material to edit together and bring a smile to your face during the winter, and we'll even do the editing!
