Well it would be safe to say more like a work week!
The crew from MI, AAA National Director Gary Van Farowe, Bob Tejchma and Jerry Lugten arrived on Thursday and immediately set to work on finishing the installation of the new roof on the APM Fly-Market. They were joined on Friday by Harman Dickerson, Bob Edgington & Nick Hildreth. By the end of the day Saturday, the new roof was completed and the Fly-Market was cleaned, organized and ready for business.
On Sat Rick Gritters and Les Gaskill began working on an electrical project for the Hy-Vee Mess Hall and the Pilot's Pub, Dan Quinn made more progress on getting the APM’s Great Lakes ready for assembly, Marcy Taylor did some major cleaning in the APM "Library of Flight" when not busy preparing meals for the volunteers and APM Director Aaron Klugherz, Jessica Fuller and Ben Taylor completed and installed the new sign in front of AAA Headquarters.
In all it was a very busy and very productive few days but there’s still much to do. If you can come help out this coming weekend (or anytime during the week as well) please let us know.
